This beautiful quaint and cosy house was once the original servants quarters. It’s been revamped retaining all the original features with modern amenities making it the perfect family home. Rustic in style it’s a traditional Tuscan farmhouse nestled in a quiet mountain side overlooking the Garfanala valley. The house is named after Derek Brooke the former owner. Derek sadly passed away but his spirit lives on. An eccentric character who was known and loved by everyone in the local area. Derek was a well known photographer in the 60’s he’s snapped the Rick and famous including the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. His room still has a collection of his original photos from the following exhibition

The
Grounds

You will spend most of your time enjoying the grounds of the house, which is home to a 12 metre pool overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills. There is also a gazebo and a large table outside which is the perfect lunch spot.

Kitchen & Dinning

The kitchen and dining room lead straight out to the garden, and the stone flagging provides a cool respite in the summer. In the winter, the open fire place can be lit. Features also include an original working pizza oven, that has been restored for the house along with modern equipment including dishwasher, microwave, gas cooker and hobs etc. Joining onto this is the bar and games room. 

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The house contains 5 bedrooms, one twin room, and all of the rest are doubles. Bedroom 1 & 2 are ensuite rooms, one with a Jacuzzi bath.The house contains another 2 bathrooms and a further 2 x WC’s. Communal Areas

The lounge is peaceful yet charming, whether you want to escape into the original rocking chair and read or watch tv with the family the room is perfect. Smart tv allows you to entertain whilst you sit back on all the original vintage furniture.
